Today I added a new feature on the frontpage. Previously, the most popular comic strip was featured, but I thought it was disappointing just to see only one. So let me proudly present the Strip Slider!

I updated Scandinavian Comics with some new features. If you look at the available comic strips, you can now see a small NEW icon if one has been newly added to our index. Also, for you stats freaks, for each webcomic, you can see how many daily strips I have in the database for you to read.

I added a new little feature, namely the most popular webcomic right now! The comic strip you guys read the most within a 24 hour period appears on the frontpage. Besides being useful in other situations, it is also nice to have a little bling-bling on the frontpage, isn't it?

Comic strip fetching upgraded

Pulling stuff from the web can be a pain.
Some of you might have noticed that the strips Rocky (in black and white) and Wulffmorgenthaler was not always updated as it should. The reason for this was that the algorithm for fetching it was kind of unreliable. Also, the Wulffmorgenthaler site served images with totally crazy filenames containing Danish characters and whitespaces all over the place, which made it even harder.

Country icons

I added some icons so you easier can see where a strip comes from and what language it's written in. They also add a little color to this, don't you think? :)

Facebook additions

Allrighty! Now you can "Facebook like" strips as well as blog posts here at Scandinavian Comics! It's an easy way to say "Hey dude! I like what you did and want to tell the world about it."
So, let me know what you think and then just continue browse the comic strips :)
